Emerson Point Preserve is located in Manatee County at 5801 17th St W, Palmetto, FL 34221. It's on the Florida Birding Trail and has lots of various types of Florida natural environments. Jimbo and I took a drive down to the 'point' and walked along the nature trail that is along the shore and has lots of mangrove trees.

On the third day of our trip to South Carolina we ventured to Table Rock State Park. The brochure promised trails, a waterfall and mountain views and opened early so we were able to get there when it was still cool.
